Actress Iyabo Ojo’s daughter, Priscilla, has invited the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, to her upcoming Yoruba traditional wedding with Tanzanian singer Juma Jux.
The ceremony is scheduled to hold on April 17.
Qed.ng earlier reported that the couple had announced the date of their traditional wedding, describing themselves as “two hearts united as one soul with the mission ‘forever’.”
In a video shared on Iyabo’s Instagram page, the actress and her daughter paid a visit to the Ooni of Ife to personally deliver the royal invitation. The video shows Priscilla kneeling before the monarch as she presents the invite.
Expressing her gratitude in the caption, Iyabo Ojo wrote:
“When the Revered Ooni of Ile Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, @ooniadimulaife, the Royal father of the day, lends his Royal Endorsement to your Wedding, know that your Marriage is truly Blessed! Long live our King @princesstoyinkolade @chiomagoodhair.”
Last month, Priscilla and Juma visited the former president of Tanzania, who hosted them warmly as they invited him to the Lagos ceremony.
The couple previously held the first leg of their wedding in February — a private event attended only by close family and friends.
Two days before Valentine’s Day, Juma proposed to Priscilla for the second time, this time with a bigger ring and in the presence of her loved ones.
Sharing a video of the proposal, the singer said he wanted to propose again with “a ring that was twice the size,” and vowed to spend forever with her.
The following day, the pair had their civil wedding in a ceremony attended by celebrities including Toyin Abraham, Chioma Good Hair, and Enioluwa.
