Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi has welcomed a baby boy with his wife Olori Ashley Folasade Ogunwusi.
The monarch announced the child’s birth on Tuesday on Instagram, saying mother and child are doing well.
“…Hearty congratulations to the entire House of Oduduwa and Olori Folashade, who today birthed a Prince from the mother side of Ooni Adagba Royal Compound of Lafogido Ruling House and father side of Ooni Agbedegbede Royal Compound of Giesi Ruling house combined to the Royal throne of Oduduwa,” he said.
His wife included details in her Instagram post. She said the boy was born at Princess Royal Hospital, London, United Kingdom.
“…I am happy to re-announce with my husband @ooniadimulaife the birth of our adorable prestigious royal son to the throne of our forebears, our CROWN PRINCE of the source of Oodua who we were blessed with and was born into this world today the 3rd of September 2024 at Princess Royal Hospital London United Kingdom,” she said.
The queen revealed she had a miscarriage of twins at 14 weeks last year.
“Even though the enemies tried in our relationship for about a decade, but Olodumare has remained faithful in our lives. Last year was a little dark as our set of twins gained their wings at 14 weeks, but Olodumare remained faithful, he said What you need is a son to carry your forbears linage, a double CROWN PRINCE, now he has blessed us with our gorgeous son, who is not just only a prince of the source, but our CROWN PRINCE from both sides of his parents,” Olori Folasade said.
Oba Ogunwusi married Olori Folasade as his fourth wife in October 2022.
This comes months after the king welcomed a set of twins with Olori Tobi.
