Some wives of the Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi have taken to social media to celebrate the monarch’s ninth coronation anniversary.

Oba Ogunwusi was crowned on December 7, 2015, although his reign began unofficially on October 26, 2015.

Olori Temitope Ogunwusi wrote on Instagram: “My darling king, I pray that God blesses You with many more years of health, peace, and prosperity. May You always walk in the center of His perfect will, and may HE continue to use You as a vessel of unity, hope, and progress for Your people.

“May the throne upon which You sit remain a symbol of divine favor and leadership. May the land You reign over flourish, and may joy, harmony, and abundance never depart from Your reign. I pray that God’s angels will shield and guide You and that your legacy will shine brighter with each passing year.

“I am so honored to stand by Your side as Your queen and partner in purpose. I love You deeply, and I celebrate You today and always.”

Olori Ashley Ogunwusi wrote: “My darling Husband, today, we celebrate a momentous milestone—9 years since your coronation as Oonirisa Adimula. As my husband and the father of our lovely children, you are the heart of our family and the guiding light of our entire kingdom, the entire Yoruba race and the entire black race.

“Your wisdom, courage, and compassion have shaped not only a legacy for your people but also a loving foundation for us your family. We are endlessly proud of the man, leader, and father you are. May your reign continue to inspire us, and pray that I may always stand by your side with love and devotion.

“I pray to Olodumare to grant you longevity on the throne of your forefathers and ancestors not only to rule as the Oonirisa but to always remain my darling and loving husband till eternity. Congratulations my sweetheart.”
