Queen Silekunola Naomi, estranged wife of the Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, on Tuesday night posted a video of herself on Instagram after getting a makeover.
The video, which she posted on Instagram Story was first uploaded by a fashion blogger, Unique Fashion Style.
It was also uploaded by makeup artist Àtùpà Makeovers.
The queen has been inactive on Instagram since she announced her divorce from the king on December 23, 2021.
Playing in the background of the video is ‘I Am Beauri’ by Afro-soul singer, Bassey Kenneth, popularly known as Beekay.
The lyrics “I’m a beauri, I be spec, I drip glory, I be nobody’s ex, haters go hate o, potatoes will potate…” can be heard in the video.
Queen Silekunola had said during the announcement of her divorce that she tried to make the union work but that the monarch’s public identity was at variance with “his true self”.
She said, “I did my best to endure and make it work; many times, I smiled through the struggle, but I have finally realised I had just one assignment, my son, and when God is done, He is done. He chose Saul to be king, and when He was done, He told the prophet Samuel I have moved on.
“Religion was never an issue between us; please refer to my interview on News Central TV. Instead, His Majesty has a picture he would love the world to see and perceive him as and another one which is his true self.”
A year earlier, the queen and the Ooni announced the birth of their son, Prince Tadenikawo.
