Olori Ashley Adeyeye-Ogunwusi, one of the wives of the Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, on Monday celebrated her daughter’s birthday on social media.
Ashley’s Instagram post confirms the rumour that has been making the rounds about her having a daughter out of wedlock.
The queen posted several photos of her daughter including one of the Ooni hugging her child.
She noted that she has made a lot of sacrifices for her daughter and she would do them all over again.
“It has been just the two of us for 10 years of your life. Life happened and the focus was YOU, I prioritised you over everything, became your father, your mother, your everything and your world. We have cried together, laughed together, I have given up so much up because of you and I made some critical decisions and sacrifices in my life because of you, but you know what? I will do it over and over again my darling daughter because you are worth more than gold to me,” she wrote.
The father of the child is unknown to the public.
Olori Ashley praised her daughter’s piano, swimming, jockey and dancing skills.
She added, “As your mother I promise you today and forever that I will always be infront of you to cheer you on, behind you to have your back, beside you always so you’re never alone. Happy 10th birthday my darling daughter, I pray you will live to see many more beautiful decades of glory, good health, abundance of greatness and abundance of wealth lase Olodumare.”
Based in the UK, Ashley is of the Lafogido royal house. She got married to the Ooni on October 14, 2022.
