Olori Ashley Afolasade-Ogunwusi, one of the wives of the Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has reassured him of her love amid the difficulties of his kingship.
The monarch recently came under criticism when he stood to greet Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke at a public event.
His critics said he was belittling the Yoruba tradition by standing to greet his subject.
In an Instagram post on Thursday, Olori Ashley said that in spite of the challenges she was proud of her husband.
She wrote, “To my husband, I know you are strong, uneasy lies the head that wears the crown. I know everything can be cloudy sometimes, but I’m so proud of you.

“I want you to know that I see you, I see everything you do, for our union, for the entire Yoruba race and I appreciate you every single day.”
The queen said that although life has not always been easy for either of them they would always have each other.
“Fear not, my loving husband @ooniadimulaife, for even the mightiest rulers have tripped over the threads of social grace. Embrace all lessons in laughter, wear your beautiful crown with a hint of humility, and know that imperfections can be the jewels that adorn a resilient monarch. I love you today, tomorrow and eternity,” she added.
The mother of one got married to the Ooni on Friday, October 14, 2022, three days before his 48th birthday.
