Ooni’s wife Olori Tobi celebrates first birthday of twins

Olori Tobi Phillips-Ogunwusi, one of the wives of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has marked the first birthday of her twins.

Sharing photos of the celebrants dressed in traditional attire on Instagram on Sunday, she wrote, “With a Splash of Royalty and a Sprinkle of Steeze we open this New Chapter In Grace. 🙏

“Happy Birthday PRINCE ADESINA & PRINCESS ADESEWA OGUNWUSI 🎉🎈.”

Ahead of the celebration, the former beauty queen had posted a video on Saturday capturing cherished moments with the twins.

She reflected on their journey so far, writing, “From our First Smile Captured on 8 days to Lots of Giggles, Cuddles, Snuggles & Many Firsts 🥰…..Lord see how far! 🙏 Few Hours to Our Birthday 🎉 🥂 💝💙🩷.”

Olori Tobi, the third wife of the Ooni, married the monarch on October 9, 2022, after dating for six years.

A native of Okitipupa, Ondo State, she won the World Miss University Africa pageant in 2012.

She and the Ooni welcomed their twins, a boy and a girl, in March 2024.

The king announced the birth, expressing gratitude and assuring that both mother and children were in good health.

The twins were given traditional Ile-Ife names: Princess Adesewa, Oreade, Oluwatamilore Ejide Ogunwusi and Prince Adeshina, Oreade, Ejide, Oluwasemilore Ogunwusi.
