Nigerian dancehall singer, Eseghine Allen, (a.k.a Orezi) has launched a record label ‘Gehn Gehn Music’.
The ‘Rihanna’ crooner shared the news on Monday through his Instagram page @oreziworldwide where he wrote:
“This company is for me and every upcoming artist out there; Gehn Gehn Music will be signing artists in the nearest future.
“Thanks to Sprisal Entertainment and Culbeed Music, which has helped in shaping me over the years into who I am today.”
According to the post, Gehn Gehn music is an all-round entertainment company aimed at changing the business of music in Nigeria.
Orezi also stated that he will be using his company as a platform for upcoming music talents in Nigeria.
He had previously alleged that most record labels in the country do not understand the music business and only had funds to spend.
Orezi also expressed his commitment to impact positively in the industry with the launch of his own record label.
The record label is named after his debut album ‘Gehn Gehn’ which was released in 2015.
The album featured collaborations with 9ice, Davido, Flavour, Ice Prince, M.I. Abaga, Timaya and Wizkid, earning Orezi the nickname ‘Dat Gehn Gehn Guy’
In November 2015, Orezi released the music video for his hit single ‘Ogede’ and released a controversial cover for his single ‘Call in the police’ in September 2016.
In 2010, Orezi released ‘High BP’ with the music video endorsed by MTV Base later that year.
The singer just released a new club banger ‘Whine for Daddy’ featuring Tekno and produced by Mystro.
