Nigerian reggae music veteran Orits Wiliki on Sunday celebrated his friend and colleague Ras Kimono on what would have been the latter’s 63rd birthday.
The Koolman Revolutionaire paid tribute to the man he calls “twinny” in a message shared on social media.
“You are fondly remembered Twinny,” Orits Wiliki wrote on a picture of Ras Kimono.
The chairman of the board of the Musical Copyright Society of Nigeria (MCSN) added that things have not gotten better in Nigeria, telling the Rub-A-Dub Master “nothing has changed, in fact we are now living in a serious time Dready.”
Born Ekeleke Onwubuya, Ras Kimono died at a hospital in Ikoyi, Lagos on June 10, 2018.
He was aged 60.
