Broadcaster Oriyomi Hamzat has arrived in Ibadan, Oyo State capital following his release by the police on administrative bail.
The founder of Agidigbo FM arrived the ancient city on Friday to loud cheers from his supporters.
He posted a video of his arrival on Instagram.
Mr Hamzat was arrested on Thursday following a petition by a hotelier Ramon Adedoyin, accusing him of criminal defamation, false alarm, incitement, false publication, cyberstalking and criminal threat.
Hamzat has been calling for justice for the late Timothy Adegoke, a postgraduate student of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Osun State.
Mr Adegoke died in Hilton Hotel in Ile-Ife last year. Adedoyin, who owns the hotel, is facing trial alongside six of his employees over Adegoke’s death.
