Nigeria international Victor Osimhen on Friday penned sweet words in celebration of his daughter Hailey on her first birthday.
The 24-year-old posted photos of himself on social media with his daughter wearing a white dress as she backs the camera.
He said that watching her grow is a “pretty sight”.
“Today makes it a year that God blessed me with a beautiful and adorable baby girl. I count this blessing everyday, watching you grow day by day is in itself a pretty sight.
“God will continue to guide you through life’s journey. Happy first birthday my angel,” the Napoli forward wrote.
Hailey was born in Italy on October 6, 2022. Her mother is Stefanie Ladewig, a German with Cameroonian roots.
Last year, Osimhen spoke about his daughter in an interview with Il Martino.
He said, “It is the most fantastic thing that could have happened to me.
“I celebrate her after each goal, making the gesture of the initial of her name, H. Her name is Hailey.

“I always want her close to me, because this is the memory I too always have of my father, him by my side. All the time.

Osimhen has endured a difficult few weeks at Napoli after a now infamous series of TikTok videos were posted to the club’s social media channels.
The forward and many Nigerians were left furious over the videos appearing to mock Osimhen for missing a penalty in a Serie A match against Bologna.
Although Osimhen has since pledged loyalty to the club, reports say he has taken himself off penalty-taking duty for Napoli.
