Napoli forward Victor Osimhen has recovered from COVID-19 after 21 days in isolation.
The Italian giants announced on Friday in a statement posted on Twitter that the Nigeria international who tested positive after two swabs were taken, underwent another check and the test result returned negative.
Osimhen has not featured for Napoli since the turn of the New Year after testing positive for COVID-19 on January 1 on his return to Naples from Nigeria.
He had breached COVID-19 protocols by attended a birthday party in Nigeria.
“@victorosimhen9 recovered from Covid-19,” the club said.
The 22-year-old will be hoping to be available for selection when Napoli take on Verona in their Serie A game at the Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi on Sunday.
