Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, minister of works and housing Babatunde Fashola and Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun among others attended the eighth-day fidau prayer for the late former attorney general of the federation and minister of justice Bola Ajibola in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Also present was the minister of foreign affairs Geoffrey Onyeama.
The fidau prayer was held on Sunday at Crescent University, Abeokuta.
Ajibola, who founded the university, died on April 9 after a long-time illness. He was aged 89.
Obasanjo, Osinbajo and wife Dolapo and ex-governor of Ogun State Segun Osoba attended the funeral.
Also present was businessman Tunde Folawiyo and former deputy governor of Lagos State Sinatu Ojikutu among others.
The deceased was a judge of the International Court of Justice, Hague, Netherlands.
Ajibola was the president of the Nigerian Bar Association from 1984 to 1985.
He was also one of five commissioners on the Eritrea-Ethiopia Boundary Commission, organised through the Permanent Court of Arbitration.
He was the High Commissioner of Nigeria to the United Kingdom from 1999 to 2002.
