Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has met with a delegation of the Nigeria-France Investment at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting aimed at strengthening economic relationship between Nigeria and France was held on Thursday.
Nigeria’s Ambassador to France, Modupe Irele, told journalists that the forum was to let French investors in on the processes of setting up businesses in Nigeria.
“Nigeria’s initiative of ease of doing business is part of understanding the agencies that are involved; the processes that are involved, the opportunities and to a large extent the responsibilities.
“It is a two-way relationship- France-Nigeria, Nigeria-France; this cannot be done with one party very far away.
“So, we brought them here to know the lay of the land; to meet the key players and also to get to know Nigerians and business people themselves,’’ Mrs Irele said.
Marketing Manager of Sub-Saharan Africa, SODIAAL Dairy Co-operative, Jean-Roch Boquet, said the company wanted to understand the Nigerian market which includes regulations.
The manager said Osinbajo talked about the recession which was over and that Nigeria was back to economic growth.
Mr Boquet said Nigeria’s population was an advantage for investment and development for the local people.
