Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has paid a condolence visit to the family of his late outrider, Ali Gomina, who was killed on Friday.
Mr Gomina, according to a tweet on Saturday by Prof. Osinbajo’s spokesman, Laolu Akande, was knocked down by a hit-and-run driver in a Camry car.
The impact was said to have thrown Gomina towards a moving tanker way ahead of the Vice President’s convoy on the expressway to Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.
Osinbajo aborted the scheduled trip following the accident on Friday.
Gomina, who died aged 45, was a police inspector and is survived by wife, children and relatives.
