A top member of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Osun State chapter Kazeem Oyewale aka Asiri Eniba has been arrested.
It was gathered that soldiers picked up Oyewale, who is the NURTW Chairman, Olorunda unit, on Friday afternoon at his Ojurin, Osogbo motor park office.
The development comes hours to the state governorship election billed for Saturday.
Oyewale has severally clashed with Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The PDP said recently that it had written several petitions to security operatives, accusing him of masterminding attacks on its members.
Narrating how Oyewale was arrested, an eyewitness who preferred anonymity told PUNCH, “We can’t say where he was taken for now but he was arrested this afternoon in his office Ojurin, Osogbo.”
