The United Kingdom has hailed the conduct of the Osun State gubernatorial election.
Unlike the usual theme, there was relative calm and peace throughout voting on Saturday.
The only low, however, were a couple of suspected vote-buying incidents.
The British Government, through its High Commission in Nigeria, was thrilled the Independent Electoral Commision (INEC) and the people of Osun for staging such election.
It said in a post on Twitter: “Congratulations to the people of #OsunState on the calm and peaceful elections today. We commend @inecnigeria on the smooth process our team of international observers witnessed #OsunDecides2018 @EUinNigeria @DFIDNigeria @USEmbassyAbuja.”
