The police in Osun on Saturday announced the arrest of a suspected Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Wasiu Adeagbo, at Ward 8 Unit 9 Fiwasaye Area of Osogbo.
Mr Adeagbo was allegedly apprehended in the act of votes buying and the sum of N116,000 was recovered from him.

Two other suspected vote buyers were earlier arrested in Iwo Local Government Area.
The sum of N604,000 was allegedly recovered from their possession.

Both men are also believed to be loyalists of the PDP whose candidate is Ademola Adeleke.
