Businessmen Femi Otedola and Aliko Dangote have met in Monaco, France amid the latter’s tussle with Nigeria’s oil regulators over his refinery.
Dangote paid a visit to Otedola at the latter’s house in France.
On Saturday, Otedola, chairman of Geregu Power and FBN Holdings, shared a picture of himself and his billionaire friend Dangote on social media. The post was not given a caption.
In the comment section, Otedola’s daughter Florence, popular as DJ Cuppy, asked for credit for the photograph.
“But where is my photographer credit Papa(s)?” She wrote.
Dangote is DJ Cuppy’s godfather.
On July 23, Otedola called for support for Dangote and his $20 billion refinery.
He examined how countries support their local manufacturers to succeed.
Otedola said, “In Nigeria, we have our own titans, and it is imperative that we recognize and support them. Aliko Dangote has broken every boundary in worldwide business and industry. His contributions are not just a testament to his brilliance but a beacon of what is possible when vision meets opportunity.
“Supporting local champions like Dangote is crucial for our national development and economic independence. Let us continue to foster and support these visionaries who drive our nation’s progress…”
