Speaker of the House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila says Ademola Ojabodu manager of pop singer Oxlade who was arrested during the #EndSARS protest in Surulere on Monday has been released.
Mr Gbajabiamila stated this in a tweet on Monday night.
“Gladly we have been able to secure the release of ADEMOLA OJABODU the last of the 6 arrested people. We must and will continue to protect our rights at all times,” he said.
The speaker listed the others who have been released as Okara Nkem, Ayodeji Ayeni, Nduka Treasure, Adeola Adebayo and Adetifa Samuel.
Ojabodu’s release, according to the speaker, was delayed because he was transferred to Panti police station.
Gbajabiamila said the release of the aforementioned persons was secured with the joint effort of actor and politician Desmond Elliot who represents Surulere in the state assembly.
