Pastor David Oyedepo Jnr, son of the founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide Bishop David Oyedepo, has congratulated Bishops Thomas Aremu and David Abioye on their retirement from active service.
Aremu’s valedictory service was held at the Living Faith Church, Basorun, Ibadan, Oyo State on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, while Abioye’s farewell ceremony took place at Goshen City, Abuja on Friday, October 18, 2024.
Their retirement is in line with the operational guidelines of the Liberation Commission, also known as The Mandate, which serves as the church’s constitution.
According to The Mandate published in 2012, the retirement age, previously set at 60, has now been adjusted to 58. Aremu is 67 while Abioye is 63.
While the church’s founder and president, Oyedepo, retains the privilege of lifelong service, future leaders of the church will be limited to one or two seven-year terms, subject to approval by the board of trustees
Oyedepo Jnr took to Instagram on Saturday to congratulate Aremu and Abioye, noting that the best is yet to come from them.
To Aremu, he wrote: “Congratulations, Sir on your Valedictory Service!
Thanks be to God for your faithful service over the years. As it has been declared, the BEST is yet to come as you step into this phase of post retirement service in Jesus Name!”
To Abioye, he wrote: “Congratulations, Sir on your Valedictory Service! Your stewardship over the years has been exemplary.
“As it has been declared, greater days lay ahead as you step into this phase of post retirement service in Jesus Name!”
