Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, and the All Progressives Congress (APC) have appealed the judgemnet of osun governorship election petition tribunal.
The tribunal had on March 22, by a majority judgment of two members, nullified Oyetola’s election and pronounced Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) winner.
Oyetola and his party have now filed an appeal through their lead counsel, Wole Olanipekun, at the Court of Appeal.
In a 39-ground notice of appeal, the claimants want the court to overturn the judgement on the grounds of perversion, contradictions and not supported by evidence.
They also want the court to uphold their appeal, set aside the majority judgement and dismiss the October 16, 2018 petition by PDP and Adeleke.
