Engineer and entrepreneur Oyewole Shobande has expanded his portfolio with the launch of his debut book, Build It, Scale It.
The book, which spans 126 pages, provides insights into building and growing a successful business.
Shobande, the Managing Director and CEO of Ample System Projects Limited, delves into various aspects of entrepreneurship in the book.
The opening chapters cover topics such as vision, clarity and leveraging social currency. Subsequent sections explore building workplace culture, collaborating with others and managing people, projects and resources.
The book also addresses key business principles, including delayed gratification, leadership, innovation, strategy, overcoming challenges and establishing a strong brand reputation.
Speaking about his motivation for writing the book, Shobande emphasised the broader scope of business success beyond financial gains.
“As a business owner, there’s no greater thrill than watching your enterprise grow. The book isn’t just about financial success but holistic business growth and influence,” he said.
“With every sense of responsibility and humility, I want to say that Build It, Scale It is a must-read for every young entrepreneur who longs to build a global venture. It offers strategies and knowledge needed to break through barriers and excel in any kind of business.”
The book was officially unveiled on Monday, March 3, 2025, at Radisson Hotel, Ikeja GRA, Lagos.
The event also marked the launch of the Oyewole Shobande Foundation and coincided with the author’s birthday.
Dignitaries in attendance included former Minister of Information Lai Mohammed, Senior Special Assistant to the Akwa Ibom State Governor Mr. Michael Effiong and Engr. Arthur Usiagwu, MD/CEO of CCS Technology Limited, who chaired the occasion.
