Chairman of Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Ajiboye Omodewu has died in the United States.
The chapter’s publicity secretary Olawale Sadare confirmed the development to PUNCH on Monday, saying the “chairman is dead”.
His death comes months after he travelled to the US to treat an undisclosed ailment.
Omodewu, who was also a US citizen, left Nigeria in November 2023.
He was a native of Otu in Itesiwaju Local Government Area of Oyo State.
Omodewu also was appointed state commissioner during the administration of the late ex-governor Abiola Ajimobi.
