A coronavirus patient has died in Oyo State, bringing the number of COVID-19-related deaths in the state to two.
Governor Seyi Makinde said in a tweet that the patient, who was one of the new cases announced on Sunday, died on Monday morning.
“Sadly, one of the new COVID-19 cases announced yesterday, passed away this morning. This brings the number of COVID-19 related deaths in the state to two. So, there are currently eight active cases in Oyo State,” he wrote.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced three new coronavirus cases in Oyo on Sunday night.
The cases were among 91 across the country.
