Filmmaker and LGBTQ rights activist Pamela Adie has started making preparations for the production of the sequel to her lesbian-themed movie Ife which she dedicated to the late Cindy Amadi.
Cindy died in September 2023.
Her demise was confirmed through a statement posted on the Instagram account created for the movie Ife.

While reacting to her shocking demise on social media, Pamela said that the sequel to Ife would be completed in her honour.
“This wasn’t the plan, Cindy. I promised you we’d make the sequel and you were excited. I’m sorry we couldn’t complete it in time. But we will complete it…for you. Rest in Peace for now,” Pamela wrote.
In a post via X on Wednesday, the filmmaker announced that production for the sequel has started.
