Daysman Oyakhilome, a nephew of the renowned clergyman Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, has received a doctor of philosophy degree in business administration and humanities in Cotonou, Benin Republic.
Daysman was awarded the degree by ISMT St Salomon University last month.
Speaking at a ceremony at the varsity, Daysman said: “The feat is remarkable. This achievement, made possible by God, would enable me to take the world for God.”
Raised under the guidance of Oyakhilome, Daysman’s life has been deeply influenced by Christ Embassy’s teachings.
His official role in Christ Embassy has focused on spearheading two initiatives: LoveWorld Next and LoveWorld Innovation. LoveWorld Next is a vibrant youth ministry while LoveWorld Innovation has developed cutting-edge technologies and communication strategies to amplify Christ Embassy’s global reach.
Daysman was suspended on August 7, 2022 from his position as the president of LoveWorld Next and LoveWorld Innovations. Oyakhilome said he was suspending him for acts of gross misconduct.
It was however gathered that Daysman was suspended and placed on “spiritual rehabilitation” because of his involvement in a support group for President Bola Tinubu who was at the time the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress.
Reacting to his suspension, Daysman said in a social media post that where he comes from, sons do not clash with their fathers.
“It is unfair to have been given more opportunities than almost anyone in your generation and not expect to be more challenged than almost anyone in your generation, if you didn’t have a future ahead of you, the Lord wouldn’t provide you the tools and people to solidify your character and person.
“Moreso, we were raised to defend the actions and guidance of our fathers no matter what and see the value in it, you can never go wrong for it if you loved the teacher when he provided you with knowledge, do not love him less when he presents you with an examination,” he said.
Meanwhile, Oyakhilome was in December 2023 named chancellor – head of government and chairman plenipotentiary of Weldios University, a private bilingual university in the Republic of Benin.
