Pastor Idowu Iluyomade, former overseer of the City of David Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), attended the Holy Communion Service of the Church at the Redemption City, formerly known as Redemption Camp, Camp on Thursday.
Church Times reported that Iluyomade was seen at the gathering with Pastor Kayode Pitan who took over from him at City of David.
A socialite by nature, Iluyomade has rarely been seen in public since he stepped down from his position at the premium branch of what is regarded as one of the biggest churches in Africa.
His departure from City of David followed public outcry that greeted the lavish party organised to celebrate the 60th birthday of his wife Siju Iluyomade.
The party took place nine days after the death of CEO of Access Bank Herbert Wigwe who was until his death a prominent member and benefactor of the church.
Contrary to some media reports that he was no longer at peace with the church, Iluyomade danced excitedly during the praise worship session at RCCG the communion service.
