Children and grandchildren of the founding pastor of The Fountain of Life Church Taiwo Odukoya on Wednesday paid tributes to him on the first anniversary of his death.
Odukoya died on August 7, 2023 in the United States. He was aged 67.
Odukoya’s first child Tolu Odukoya-Ijogun shared the tributes signed by the clergyman’s children and grandchildren on Instagram.
“You gave me a true Legacy… You gave me the Holy Spirit. Thank you for the Excellent life you Live. You made God proud. I love you forever and a day more… Your Tolu-baby,” she captioned her post.
Odukoya’s second daughter Deborah Odukoya-Enuha said her day began with a feeling of sadness. She however said the feeling was nudging her to reflect.
“In my reflection, I remembered his hands, the hands that carried me, prayed for me and encouraged me. I remembered his smile, the smile that made me laugh, wiped away my sadness and informed me of his pride in me,” she said.
Mrs Odukoya-Enuha added, “It’s been one year since you left Dad. I miss you and I love you.”
The church also celebrated its founder on social media, saying his legacy lives on.
“His vision, dedication, and unwavering faith touched countless lives globally.
“As we cherish his memory, let us carry forward his teachings and values ensuring that his legacy is sustained,” it said.
