Social media influencer Solomon Buchi has trolled SPAC Nation founder Pastor Tobi Adegboyega after a UK immigration tribunal ruled that the 44-year-old should be deported back to his native Nigeria.
Adegboyega was head of SPAC Nation, a controversial church shut down after failing to properly account for more than £1.87 million of outgoings and operating with a lack of transparency.
He has lived in the UK unlawfully since overstaying on a visitor’s visa that allowed him to enter Britain in 2005. In 2019, he applied for leave to remain under rights to a family life as stated in the European Convention of Human Rights (ECHR). His application was initially dismissed by a first-tier immigration tribunal before he appealed.
He claimed deportation would breach his right to a family life – having married a British woman. He also said the attempt to remove him by the Home Office failed to take account of his community work with SPAC.
The tribunal however found Adegboyega’s evidence to be “hyperbolic in many instances” and had “sought to grossly inflate his influence.”
Reacting to the development, Buchi wrote on X on Wednesday that he found it unfathomable that Adegboyega has been living “larger than life” despite being in the UK illegally.
Adegboyega has been criticised severally for his flamboyant lifestyle and association with secular artistes.
“Now the tides have come for him. The British government have trashed his appeal to stay in the UK on grounds of private life, doubting his usefulness to the British public. What shall be his fate? Move to Nigeria to contest for senator? Join Davido’s record label?” Buchi wrote.
“Buy ring light and start content creation like his white demon friend, Daddyfreeze. Would Gucci and Fendi help with some emergency fashion-influencing gigs for him? What is the fate of this cultural and social charlatan?” He asked.
