Immediate past Nigerian First Lady, Patience Jonathan, on Monday visited a Skye Bank branch in Maitama, Abuja purportedly to make cash withdrawal from her recently unfrozen account.
Mrs Jonathan, who was at the bank until 4:05 pm, declined to speak to journalists who sought to know why she was there.
NAN, however, quoted one of her aides, who declined to disclose his name, telling newsmen that “everything was okay”.
A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos last Thursday lifted an interim forfeiture order on the account.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had in November 2016 approached the court for an order freezing the account with the sum of N5.9milion, which the agency argued was proceeds of crime.
