Actress Patience Ozokwo has replied to a critic who accused her of representing a company that scams people.
The actress posted screenshots of her conversations with the critic on Instagram on Wednesday.
The Instagram user identified as Pharell Blessing called out the veteran saying, “Naira Promo or whatever you advertise with Patience Ozokwo scamming youths their hard-earned money yet you no dey talk anything about it, No let drag you too from Gist Lovers.”
Responding, Patience wrote: “Why do our youth want to make money quick? You go to money doublers who use any platform they see and change people’s genuine business to a scam. Read and listen well. Don’t be fooled. Anything that is too good to be true is probably not true no matter who is fronting it. You have no respect too. Did the youth pay into your account?”
Firing back at the movie star Pharell wrote: “Patience Ozokwo you advertise for a platform without knowing their true intentions. We see you as people we can trust We do business with people you advertise for your platform and get scammed yet you say we want quick money? What were your thoughts when you arrive them on your platforms ma?”
Defending herself, the 63-year-old stated that she had no involvement with any fraudulent activity and does not know anything about the said Naira Promo who have been using her videos to scam people.
“Point of correction, I advertise for a genuine health products network marketing business Bold gains. Scammers are using my advert videos to frot a Ponzi scheme I know nothing about.
“There are posts on my page to warn people and the more report these fake accounts especially on Facebook the more they opt for new ones. Meanwhile, I don’t even know what Naira Promo is. Won’t be surprised if they have used my pictures to deceive people too,” the actress retorted.
