Nollywood actress Patience Ozokwo has knocked down critics age-shaming her.
The veteran in an Instagram post on Saturday day questioned those who said she looks old, asking when old age stopped being a blessing.
According to the actress popularly known as Mama G, people do all manner of things to cover up their age, she also stated that she is proud of her age and she counts it as a blessing.
Responding to those who said she suddenly aged, Patience said that aging is not unattractive or undesirable.
“When did old age stop being a blessing? People do all manner of stuff to cover up aging – good for them! I own my age and experience with my full chest and count it an enormous blessing.
“Comments like She now looks so old She don old suddenly, She don old finishAhaa Mama what happened? Make me smile. Aging is not unattractive or undesirable,” she wrote.
In conclusion, the veteran stated that she is not worried about looking old neither is she bothered about people’s opinions about her.
“Life is fleeting. Enjoy the years you’ve been blessed with fully. I am not afraid to look/be old. I am not worried about being in any exclusive league or being validated by people’s opinions. Respect the elderly,” she wrote.
Patience Ozokwo celebrated her 63rd birthday on September 14.
