Brazilian striker, Alexandre Pato, is elated to finally make a dream move to the Barclays Premier League with Chelsea.
The 26-year-old arrived London on Wednesday to complete his much anticipated move to Stamford Bridge.
But Pato who has agreed a three-year deal in principle with the Blues, will initially join the side on loan from Corinthians.
The former AC Milan star hinted that his decision to trade the Brazilian league for the Premiership is solely because he “really wants to play for Chelsea”.
Nicknamed Pato Banco, the forward who is making a return to Europe after a four-year absence is eager to meet with his new team-mates at Chelsea.
He said: “[I am] so happy, so happy. I stay here for my dream. Chelsea is my new home, thanks Chelsea for the support thank you to my fans.
“I need to play. I don’t know what to say because I am so happy today.
“I am very anxious. I want to know my new friends, new players, the team.
“I really want to play for Chelsea.”
Pato has made 27 appearances for his country and won Bronze and silver at the 2008 and 2012 Olympic football events.
