Actor Patrick Doyle has tied the knot traditionally with his wife Funmilayo one year after their court wedding in Lagos.
The traditional wedding ceremony which was held on Thursday, was attended by friends and families of the couple.
Patrick and his wife have been posting their pre-wedding photoshoots on social media in anticipation of the event.
On Saturday, they both shared a video from the event on their Instagram accounts. In the video, the happy couple who wore traditional outfits could be seen holding each other as their photographs were being taken while guests prayed for them.
Captioning the video, they wrote,” No be small small thing…. Alaga just dey give order and I must obey.”
Former manager of Fela’s Egypt 80 band Lekan Animashaun, popularly known as Baba Ani was also present at the event.
Patrick shared a video of the 87-year-old dancing at the event and thanked him for honouring their invitation.
“The legendary Baba Ani of the Egypt 80 band was at our traditional marriage ceremony. Thank you, Sir, for honouring Oluwafunmilayo and I with your presence,” he wrote on Instagram.
Patrick and Funmilayo first got married on her birthday on August 22, 2022, at the marriage registry in Surulere Local Government Area of Lagos State.
The 62-year-old unveiled his new wife in a Facebook post to commemorate Mothering Sunday on March 20, 2023.
Patrick’s first wife Rosamond died of sickle cell anaemia in 1999. Their son Raymond died in 2009.
In January, his second wife Ireti Doyle confirmed her divorce from Patrick.
“We are officially divorced,” the Tinsel actress told Chude Jideonwo in an interview.
