Senior pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Abuja Paul Enenche on Friday dismissed reports he recently acquired a private jet.
Enenche who ranks among the most influential pastors in Nigeria was reported to have bought a private jet numbered N838BB.
However, he said in a statement on Friday by his secretary Sylvester Edoh that the rumour was false, stressing that the jet was chartered for his ministerial duty in December 2019.
“The possession of a private jet for easy, stress-less and aggressive spread of the gospel is not a luxury but a basic and vital necessity,” he said in a statement.
“By God’s grace, we do not lack the capacity to acquire or own a private jet for the sake of the gospel.
“However, the news of our acquisition of a private jet that is currently making rounds is absolutely false and totally untrue.”
Enenche also urged the public to see a private jet for missionary work as a tool for propagating the gospel like microphones and drum sets.
Some pastors in Nigeria who have private jets include Pastor Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Bishop David Oyedepo of Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners’ Chapel) and Apostle Johnson Suleman of Omega Fire Ministries International.
