Paulo Okoye slams Deji Adeyanju for dragging Burna Boy into speed Darlington saga

Music executive Paulo Okoye has berated lawyer Deji Adeyanju for involving Burna Boy in the controversy surrounding Speed Darlington’s arrest.

Adeyanju had earlier on Wednesday accused Burna Boy of hypocrisy, alleging that the singer capitalises on Fela Kuti’s activism-inspired lyrics while oppressing others.

Reacting via his Instagram Story, Okoye came to Burna’s defense, describing Adeyanju as a “social media lawyer” unqualified to attack the Grammy-winning artiste’s reputation.

Okoye wrote, “Deji Adeyanju or whatever they call you!!!! Can you put respect on Burna Boy’s name? Why are you even calling Burna Boy’s name?? Smh.

“You are nothing more than a social media lawyer. Lawyer my a$$$. Get your facts right before you open your gutter mouth. Control your client.”

The clash stems from Speed Darlington’s claims linking Burna Boy to American rapper P. Diddy, who is currently facing legal troubles in the US.

Speed Darlington alleged that Burna Boy’s Grammy win and international acclaim were influenced by his association with Diddy, sparking public debate.

Burna Boy responded by filing a cyberstalking petition against Speed Darlington, which led to the latter’s arrest in Abuja by the Intelligence Response Team (IRT).

In an update, after Darlington’s release from police custody, he was rearrested in Owerri.
