PDPZainab, daughter of a former Minister of Labour and Productivity, Mr. Husaini Akwanga, who was sacked by former President Olusegun Obasanjo over his alleged complicity in the $214 million National Identity Card bribe scandal, has been listed among those recently expelled by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Ward 2 Ward Initiative which has its headquarters in Abuja

Rising from an emergency meeting, the group resolved that Zainab and others were found guilty of anti-party activities, adding that they should henceforth be considered as non-members following their expulsion

A statement signed by National coordinator, Shekulomaso Kamal Karka, and National Legal Adviser, Ikechukwu Ojukwu, of the PDP Ward 2 Ward, said that the expulsion became necessary so as to maintain the integrity of the organisation.

Apart from Zainab, others expelled are Hajara Husseini, Vivian Habitat, Thelma Nkanu, Wales Taha, Mceva Temofe, Joan Hassan Hyatt and Elizabeth A. Aikhomo.

“They were expelled because of the anti-party activities they have been carrying out, which has brought disrepute to our organisation,” the statement added.

The statement warned members of the public not to have any dealing with the expelled members in matters relating to the group or the party.

“Anybody or group of people who does any business in the name of PDP with any of these expelled members does it at his or her own risk,” the statement said.
