Peller loses over 500k TikTok followers after criticising 30-day rant challenge

TikToker Habeeb Adelaja, popularly known as Peller, has experienced a sharp drop in his social media following after condemning the trending 30-day rant challenge.

Peller, in a viral video, criticized Nigerians participating in the challenge, warning that it could lead to the government banning TikTok in Nigeria.

“If you want to really rant, go to Instagram; go to the market; don’t rant here on TikTok. If they ban TikTok, that’s where we will have issues,” he said.

The content creator, who gained popularity through his live TikTok videos, suggested that those airing their frustrations should take their protests elsewhere instead of using the platform.

“If you want to really rant, go to Instagram; go to the market; don’t rant here on TikTok. If they ban TikTok, that’s where we will have issues,” he said.

Following his remarks, TVC reported on Thursday that Peller had lost a significant number of followers, with nearly 500,000 unfollowing him on TikTok and another 400,000 on Instagram.
