People think I’m jealous of Jerry Eze, his miracles are staged — Pastor Abel Damina

Founder of Power City International Ministry Pastor Abel Damina has countered claims that he is jealous of Pastor Jerry Eze.

Eze recently held a conference in the UK where he allegedly performed miracles.

In the latest episode of the Honest Bunch Podcast, Damina said his criticism of Eze’s miracles were not born out of sentiments.

He said Eze’s catchphrase ‘What God cannot do does not exist’ is wrong.

“’What God cannot do does not exist’ is not the truth. People think that I am jealous of Jerry Eze. It is not about sentiments, it is about knowing what the truth is.

“I believe in miracles, I believe in healing, but not this ‘arrangee’ that we are seeing today. Most of those crutches are the same,” he said, referring to some of those who attended Eze’s UK programme in crutches and reportedly got healed.

Asked by the co-host Nedu if Damina believed Eze’s miracles were staged, the controversial preacher said: “Can’t you see most of those crutches are all the same colours and all brand new? In what world will people come for a crusade and have the same brand of crutches and also the same colour?”

Damina also criticised preachers for the emphasis on tithes.

“Why are you asking for tithes? If you read the book of Acts, nobody paid tithes to anybody, Jesus didn’t pay tithes, Jesus didn’t receive tithes,” he said.
