Miss International Nigeria Perpetual Ukadike has made history by breaking into the top 20 at the Miss International 2024 pageant.
Perpetual who competed in the 62nd edition of the global beauty contest became the first African to clinch the coveted Missosology Choice Award.
The accolade was announced at the conclusion of the competition, making her victory a standout moment.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, Perpetual expressed her joy, posting a video with a heartfelt message.
“Honoured and grateful to be the first African to win the Missosology Choice Award! This achievement is not just mine, but a celebration of resilience. Thank you @missosology_org for believing in me!”
She also shared images of her proudly holding the trophy.
Many had tipped her to become the first African winner of the Miss International title.
Although she successfully made it to the Top 20, Perpetual did not advance to the final stages and missed out on the Continental Queen title for Africa.
This year’s Miss International crown was awarded to Vietnam’s Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy who emerged as the overall winner of the competition.
