Former presidential candidates Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso met on Thursday at the inaugural leadership lecture organised to celebrate media entrepreneur Dele Momodu on his 64th birthday.
The lecture themed ‘The Politics of Energy and The Way Forward’ was held at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs in Lagos State.
Messrs Obi and Kwankwaso, both former governors, contested the 2023 presidential election. Before the election, there were talks about the duo pairing up to stand a better chance of victory. However, it didn’t happen.
Obi and Kwankwaso both spoke at the lecture.
Also present at the event was the former President of Ghana, John Mahama; Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, former governor of Cross River State, Donald Duke; Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi; former governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in Lagos, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour; governorship candidate of LP in Edo State, Olumide Akpata, among others.
