Former presidential candidates Peter Obi and Prof Pat Utomi on Tuesday visited the bereaved family of the late ex-governor Rotimi Akeredolu in Ibadan.

Akeredolu, a former president of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), died from prostate cancer on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at the age of 67 in a German hospital.

Mr Obi shared photos of their visit on social media, saying Akeredolu believed in a restructured and productive Nigeria.

“Today, together with my very dear elder brother, Prof Pat Utomi, I arrived Ibadan, Oyo State, to commiserate with the bereaved wife of Late Gov Rotimi Akeredolu, Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, and the entire Akeredolu Family, as we all mourn the death of Gov Akeredolu,” he wrote.
