Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi on Saturday returned from his trip to Egypt.
Mr Obi left Nigeria last Tuesday, saying he was going to Egypt to study the country’s education, power, planning and finance sectors.
However, the former Anambra State governor confirmed his return by retweeting a post by a Tweep Comrade Phils, who is the executive editor of Report Afrique International.
“Leader of the new Nigeria, @Peterobi arrives Abuja Airport in Nigeria,” the post was captioned.
Obi is seen in the video struggling for space with supporters as he arrived the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
Obi’s campaign manager Doyin Okupe on Friday said he would be acting as vice-presidential candidate of Labour Party for the time being due to the June 17 deadline set by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Labour Party is having talks of merger with the New Nigeria’s People Party (NNPP), according to NNPP presidential candidate Rabiu Kwankwaso.
