In a bid to reconcile the warring Okoye brothers, former presidential candidate of the Labour Party Peter Obi has paid a visit to musician Peter Okoye aka Mr P.
Obi visited Mr P at his apartment in Lagos on Thursday days after meeting the latter’s brother Paul Okoye aka Rudeboy and their elder brother and former manager Jude Okoye.
The Labour Party leader met Rudeboy and Jude on Tuesday at Rudeboy’s residence.
Mr P and Rudeboy thrilled the world for many years as a music duo P-Square with their brother Jude as their manager. However, differences led to their split in 2017. They reconciled in 2021 and released a two-track EP in 2022.
However, lately they had another squabble which saw Peter report Jude to the EFCC.
Peter said on Instagram that he discovered the existence of a company called Northside Music which was similar to the firm used for managing P-Square, Northside Entertainment.
According to Mr P, this company was allegedly found to be diverting significant sums of money, with its founders and directors being Jude and his wife, Ifeoma Okoye.
He said he did not report Rudeboy to the EFCC as the latter said he had no knowledge of Northside Music.
