Presidential candidate of the Labour Party Peter Obi met with Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo on Friday.
Mr Obi met Prof Soludo at the governor’s lodge in the Amawbia area of the state.
Obi is a former governor of the state. He handed over to Willie Obiano who served two terms before handing over to Soludo.
Soludo’s chief press secretary Christian Aburime said Obi and Soludo held private discussions.
“Both leaders had a mutual discussion behind closed doors. Afterwards, Mr Peter Obi commended Governor Soludo highly for the great job he is doing in Anambra State,” he said.
“Governor Soludo on the other hand welcomed Mr Peter Obi to Anambra as a prominent son of the State and wished him well on his Presidential bid as the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party.”
Obi has been visiting high-profile persons since he emerged the presidential candidate of the Labour Party.
His visit to Soludo comes two days after he met Afrobeat legend Femi Kuti in Ogun State.
