Singer Peter Okoye has lost his father-in-law chief Oladipo Omotayo.
The 39-year-old shared a candle light picture on Instagram on Wednesday.
He wrote, “RIP Papa.”
In another post he shared pictures of Mr Omotayo and penned down a tribute to him.
He also said he was blessed to have him as a father-in-law.
“My dear great father-in-law. Oladipo Adewale Omotayo aka ‘Papa’. We will surely miss you.
” Your beloved daughter Lola Okoye and your grand children Cameroon & Aliona Okoye misses you desperately,” he wrote.
His wife Lola Omotayo also shared a picture of her dad on Instagram.
She said, “In the early hours of this morning, I received some very sad news that brought my family’s world to a grinding halt. My darling Papa’s passing has hit us all very hard, and while we know that he is in a better place, the truth is that there is no easy way to handle the grief that comes with the loss of a loved one.
“We love you Papa. It hurts badly. And while we will miss you desperately, we know we have been truly blessed to have had a husband, father, brother, uncle and grandfather like you.”
Lola had on December 13 shared a throwback picture of herself with mum and dad.
She said it was a time when life was easy and less complicated.
Peter’s father Moses Okoye has also passed on to glory.
He died in November 2014.
Peter and Lola got married in November 2013.
They have two children together.
