Pop musician, Peter Okoye, one half of defunct Nigerian music duo, P-Square, has reminisced about his mother, Josephine Okoye, eight years after her death.
The 37-year-old singer disclosed this in a 69th posthumous birthday message to his mother posted an Instagram.
“Continue to Rest in Peace with the Lord🙏🏽 Still missing you….. Happy supposed 69th birthday dearest Mum🙏🏽😇🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂 #RestingInParadise❤️ #HappyBirthdayInHeavenMum,” he wrote.
Josephine, mother of twin superstars, Peter Okoye and Paul Okoye, died in an Indian hospital In July 2011.
Peter, speaking about his mum in the period after her death appreciated the role she played in the success story of P-Square.
”You know that she was a prayer warrior, so I don’t need to tell you how she stood by us spiritually. Besides, she was the only one that believed in us when we decided to make a career out of music.
”I can remember that she used to sneak us out at night then to attend shows without the consent of our father who insisted that we must quit music to face our education,” Peter said.
