Peter Okoye’s wife Lola celebrates Paul’s son Andre

Lola Omotayo-Okoye, wife of singer Peter Okoye, has put aside the lingering tension between her husband and his twin brother Paul to celebrate their son Andre on his birthday.

Andre, who is Paul Okoye’s first son with ex-wife Anita, turned 12 on Thursday.

Despite the ongoing conflict between the twin brothers, Lola took to her Instagram Story to post a tribute to the boy, sharing a compilation of photos featuring herself, Andre, and his little sister.

In her heartfelt message, she wrote:
“Happy 12th Birthday my dearest Andre. May you continue to go from glory to glory and from strength to strength in Jesus Name. We love and miss you so much. You are blessed. @anita_okoye”

Her gesture comes months after she notably snubbed Paul on his birthday in November 2024, choosing instead to publicly celebrate her husband Peter.

Peter and Paul Okoye, the duo behind the defunct music group P-Square, have had a rocky relationship for years.

Their initial fallout in 2017 stemmed from internal disagreements, particularly over the role of their elder brother Jude Okoye, who managed them at the time.

Peter accused Jude and Paul of teaming up against him, while Paul claimed Peter had become disrespectful.

Though they reconciled in 2021 and resumed joint performances as P-Square, cracks reappeared in 2024.

In August, Paul alleged that Peter was behind his arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Peter denied the claim in an open letter, expressing disappointment over Paul’s comments and insisting their success was a joint effort.

Paul, in response, questioned why they couldn’t remain brothers even if they were no longer professionally aligned.

The renewed tension ultimately led to another split between the duo.
