Rapper Nelson Azubuike popularly known as Phyno has dropped a snippet video for his latest track “Nwoke Esike” featuring an interlude by convicted fraudster Hushpuppi.
Phyno who is celebrating his birthday shared the video on his Instagram page.
He captioned it, “Grateful for another year round the clock 🤲🏻🙏 Thank you for all the love today !!!! NWOKE ESIKE x HUSH VIDEO OUT IN A BIT.”
In the clip, Hushpuppi delivers a motivational interlude saying, “The other day, someone asked me for the best advice I could give people out there.
“I told him everyone should run their own race at their own pace. Everyone’s destination is different and in this life, there is no finish line. Whenever you reach your point of celebration, you’ll receive your own congratulations.”
Phyno recently released his fifth studio album Full Time Job following the success of his previous albums including ‘Something To Live For’ (2021), ‘Deal With It’ (2019), ‘The Playmaker’ (2016), and his debut album ‘No Guts No Glory’ (2014).
The album blends Phyno’s signature style of indigenous Igbo sounds with modern global influences.
Revealing the tracklist on Nigeria’s Independence Day, Phyno showcased collaborations with prominent artistes such as Cheque, Flavour, Burna Boy and Johnny Drille.
Hushpuppi makes an appearance on track five of the album, sparking widespread reactions on social media as his involvement comes while serving a prison sentence in the US for his role in a global fraud scheme.
Phyno’s Full Time Job highlights his musical versatility, from the choral grandeur of ‘Nwoke Esike’ to the highlife-infused ‘Men Don Show Face’ and the amapiano-inspired ‘Back Outside.’
He also delves into R&B with ‘Deep’ and delivers soulful vibes with ‘Sweet Karma.’
